Beautifully written, Todd! I never really thought about how the moon might affect the soil, but it makes so much sense. Your plants look incredible, and I’m especially excited to see that papaya can be grown in California! 🤩

We had 3 pairs of mourning doves making the nest in the hanging basket on our balcony, one after another (within 3 days from each other). It was so amazing to watch them build their nests, care for their eggs, and nurture their babies. I couldn’t help but feel a sense of awe, pride, and a little sadness when the babies learned to fly and left the nest.

Of course, it doesn’t come anywhere close to what parents experience when their own child grows up and begins their next adventure. Wishing wonderful Kacia the most exciting journey ahead, and your family many beautiful new chapters to come ❤️🌿✨

Friend, so glad you got to see those special moments with the doves. The sounds they make are so soothing. Our pigeons make similar cooing sounds. And the papaya is crazy, right? It’s going nuts over here. Who would have ever thought. You need to come by and sit in the garden with all the butterflies and birds.
